A traditional stone cottage just a few metres from the shores of the Helford Estuary.
It’s hard to imagine a position more perfect for a holiday home than Durgan Beach Cottage. The pretty stone building with dormer windows in its slate roof sits right above the beach, only a few metres from the water’s edge. Inside, sounds of the sea echo through its bright and airy rooms.
Enjoy a morning stroll along the beach before wandering a further mile and half to Glendurgan Garden. Discover the large unusual garden, with plenty of activities and trails to explore.
Head 13 miles away from the cottage and you’ll reach the Godolphin estate. This grand, sweeping estate is home to acres of parkland and a stunning manor house.
Durgan Beach Cottage is joined to Durgan Quay Cottage (sleeps three). Durgan Old School House (sleeps four) and Durgan Wood Cottage (sleeps two) are also nearby. They can be booked together.

Entrance to the cottage is via the kitchen to the rear of the cottage. Sitting room with multi-fuel stove, both rooms on the ground floor have underfloor heating.
Two bedrooms (one double with 6' bed which can also be a twin on request, one single), bathroom with electric shower over bath.

Parking: Car parking space is immediately by back door - inside cottage gates.
Garden: There is a small shared garden to the front of the cottage.
Please note: The sea wall in the garden of the cottage is only 70cm high on the garden side with a considerable drop beyond. Children should be supervised at all times in this area.
Telephone: Limited reception for mobile telephones. There is a public payphone outside the property.

Please note: The annual Durgan Regatta takes place in the village on the Sunday of the August Bank Holiday. This involves flags on both quays, loudspeakers and lots of people partying outside Quay, Beach and Old School House cottages.
Please be aware the Helford River beach at Durgan is not a designated beach for bathing.
