About Highertown Farm Campsite
Highertown Farm is a peaceful campsite near quiet coves, sandy beaches and picture-perfect fishing villages. The low-key site is unmanned but you'll see the rangers who care for the site while looking after the surrounding coast and countryside. There's plenty of natural green space for relaxing or running around, some outdoor games and a shared barn.
A ten-minute hike down the wooded valley takes you to the quiet beach at Lansallos Cove, and you can loop onto the South West Coast Path from here. Walk about an hour east to Polperro harbour - it has stone steps down to a natural swimming pool. Polruan is to the west and from here you can take the ferry to to Fowey for places to eat, pubs and shops to explore. Looe, a busy fishing port and popular family beach, is a 15-minute drive away; nearby Hannfore is quieter. There are lots of great walks in the area, from the easy, one-mile Blackbottle Rock picnic walk with views all the way down to the Lizard, to the strenuous Polruan to Polperro rollercoaster walk, a 7 mile scramble along steep cliff-top ridges.

Just book a small, medium or large pitch, and on arrival you'll check yourself in and choose your spot.
Campervans and motorhomes
Campervans and motorhomes up to 6m long are welcome at Highertown Farm. We're unable to accept larger vehicles due to access restrictions. On arrival, you'll check yourself in and pitch on any available spot you like. All pitches are grass; there are no hardstanding pitches. There are a small number of electric hook-ups available on a first-come-first-served basis for a small fee.

Things to see and do while you stay
At Highertown Farm, you're in easy reach of unspoilt fishing villages, coves for rock-pooling, miles of golden sand and good surfing beaches. Campsite guests can visit all National Trust places for free (car parking not included), and Lanhydrock, a Victorian country house and garden, is just a 20-minute drive away. Cotehele's historic quay and mill is less than an hour away, and Antony and Trerice take just a bit longer.

For friends and family who would like to join you on holiday, there are two National Trust cottages nearby. Lansallos West House (sleeps six) and Lansallos Old House (sleeps four) make up a converted farmhouse in the tiny hamlet of Lansallos Barton with sweeping sea views from the garden and some of the rooms.
