Five sea-view pitches in the grounds of an old dairy farm, with walks inland to the Purbeck hills or to Chapman’s Pool on the Jurassic Coast.
This small motorhome site is in the grounds of an old dairy farm alongside former agricultural buildings on the rural Isle of Purbeck. It has sea views to the south, looking down to the valley towards Winspit, as well as expansive views across farmland, and is near a network of paths. It's about a 30-minute walk down to the quiet local beach, Chapman’s Pool, to swim, snorkel, dip into rock pools and look for fossils. The Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its incredible rocks and fossils, is nearby. The site is just a five-minute walk from the South West Coast Path.
Weston Farm is part of a National Trust project to restore the farmland to wildlife-friendly grassland and woodland pasture, and you might spot hares, skylarks, barn owls and glow-worms. The small village of Worth Matravers is a quiet, ten-minute walk away, where you’ll find a tearoom and historic pub.
It’s a ten-minute drive to Corfe Castle, where you'll have free entry during your stay. Brownsea Island, famous for its red squirrels, is not far - the foot ferry to the island is a 40-minute drive away. Entry to the island is free for campsite guests, but there is a fare for the ferry. Hardy's House, Max Gate, designed by Thomas Hardy and where he wrote some of his most famous novels is also 40 minutes away. His birthplace, Hardy's Cottage, is also nearby.
Check-in is from 2pm, with departures by 11am. For facility information, group bookings, local area information and more, please check the Guide to Weston Farm Motorhome Site.
