About Hall Court

At Hall Court, you’ll experience staying in one of England’s best preserved Tudor houses, a fortified manor house with medieval roots, on a high bluff on the Cornish bank of the river Tamar. The first-floor apartment has intricate mullioned windows, arched doorways and many other interesting features, and is in the midst of life at Cotehele, with gardeners, conservationists and visitors going by. As well as the house, there’s the historic quay’s mill, acres of colourful gardens and orchard, and miles of estate footpaths to discover.

The Tamar Valley, meandering from Launceston to the Hamoaze and then on to Plymouth Sound, offers great walking, cycling and horse riding. There’s also the Tamar Valley Line from Plymouth to Gunnislake, crossing the Calstock Viaduct.
