This snug gate lodge, perched near the Tamar River on the Cotehele estate, is especially cosy in the evenings when the stove is lit and the shutters closed for the night.
Cotehele Quay Lodge Cottage is a comfortable little holiday cottage full of quirks and original features. Its portico looks down to the Tamar River, which bustled with local industry in the 19th century. Now it’s a great place for a walk, a cream tea, and to find out more about the history of the Cotehele estate. It’s all in walking distance: the atmospheric Tudor house, acres of gardens and orchards, and miles of footpaths and walking trails. Cotehele Mill is on the other side of a small, wooded valley. You'll have free entry here and at all National Trust places during your stay.
