From this welcoming dairy cottage, you’ll have your own gate into the Weir Garden’s 18th-century walled garden.
The colourful brickwork at the Weir Garden Cottage looks like a patchwork quilt. This friendly-looking building brings together a cottage and former dairy to make a comfortable, modern holiday cottage with accessible rooms on the ground floor. In the kitchen, spot the welsh black slate salvaged from the old dairy. There are original features throughout, from tiles to double trusses. As well as all-hours access to the Weir Garden, you’ll have your own private garden created by the head gardener.
The Weir Garden Cottage is a great place to gather for a holiday exploring the heart of Herefordshire, surrounded by lovely walks. Ten acres of gardens and parkland reach along the River Wye here, with Roman ruins, a rockery and ancient trees, as well as a riverside picnic area. Brockhampton, a traditionally-farmed estate and medieval manor house, home to the largest orchard cared for by the National Trust, is just 30 minutes away, and you’ll have free entry here, as well as at all other National Trust places during your stay.
