A coastal campsite on the Lizard peninsula near award-winning beaches.
Teneriffe Farm Campsite is a spacious, green campsite with far-reaching sea views, just a ten-minute walk from the South West Coast Path. Head an hour or so in either direction for some of Cornwall’s most famous coves and beaches - Mullion Cove and sandy Polurrian and Poldhu to the north, and Kynance Cove to the south. Walk a couple of miles beyond Kynance and you'll reach Lizard Point, the most southerly tip of mainland Britain with its wildlife watchpoint and wireless station, home of the first wireless radio transmission.
At the end of a day walking or playing on the beach, Teneriffe Farm is a relaxed place to spend a quiet evening. Barbecue, watch the sun set and enjoy the dark, star-filled sky.
The lovely local village is about a 40-minute walk away. It has a couple of pubs and places to eat, and some small shops to explore.
Check-in is from 2pm, with departures by 11am. To help preserve the site's tranquillity, the maximum number of adults in any booking is four and this applies whether you book together or separately. For group bookings, directions, late arrivals, facility information, electric vehicle charging, local area guides and more, please check the Guide to Teneriffe Farm Campsite.
For tents, there are generously-sized grass pitches in three camping fields, one for all seasons and two for busier times like the school holidays. There are pitches for all sizes of tents, with and without electric hook-up, so please read the descriptions in the booking system carefully to help you make your choice. For organised groups, like Duke of Edinburgh, please complete the booking form on the Guide to Teneriffe Farm Campsite page. Pitches are pre-allocated, and you’ll be directed to your pitch when you arrive.
All the pitches are grass, and vehicles can choose an electric or non-electric pitch. Read the pitch descriptions carefully to choose the one that's right for you. You're welcome to bring an awning, gazebo, mess tent or pup tent as long as it fits on your pitch leaving 6m between you and your neighbour.
There are four simple pods in a sociable cluster in the middle of the campsite. They have glass doors opening onto a small deck, and are near a grassy area for outdoor games. Each one has a picnic bench. One of the pods is dog friendly.
The pods are basic shelters with a few simple comforts - a soft floor, heat, light and sockets. We provide floor mattresses; nothing else is included.
Think of a pod as a replacement for your tent, and bring all your other camping gear, including sleeping bags, a sleeping mat (if you’d like to put it on top of the mattress), pots and pans, a stove and camping chairs. You'll cook outside, just as you do when camping in a tent.

This part of Cornwall is one of the most biodiverse areas in the country, with carpets of wildflowers in the spring and summer and lots of important plant-llfe, from rare lichens to wild asparagus. The money you spend on your holiday supports the National Trust's conservation projects in the area, including those to revitalise and protect rare species. Head to the volunteer-run wildlfe watchpoint at Lizard Point to watch out for seals, dolphins and even the occasional whale and basking shark. The watchpoint is also a great place to see seabirds such as gannets, puffins, various skuas and shearwaters. Along the cliffs near the coast path, look out for wild choughs, buzzards, peregrines, ravens and stonechat.
Head north to visit the ancient and atmospheric estate at Godolphin. For countryside, head to the wooded valleys and sheltered shores of the Helford River, or to the Penrose estate for Loe Pool, the largest natural freshwater lake in Cornwall, and Loe Bar, site of many historic shipwrecks.
For friends and family who might like to join your holiday by staying in a National Trust cottage nearby, Winnianton Farmhouse (sleeps six) is north of Mullion Cove, by the beach at Helston. Wireless Cottage (sleeps two) is a former wireless station 100ft back from the cliffs near Lizard Point, built in 1900 by pioneering inventor Guglielmo Marconi.
Have a go at kayaking, climbing or coasteering with our partner Lizard Adventure. Or join a surfing lesson & catch some waves with former professional Dan Joel.
Thanks to funding from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, places in Cornwall have started improvements to help make the South West Coast Path a year-round experience. Find out where has benefited.
