A traditional white-washed cottage with a thatched roof and a country rustic interior.
Stay in rare survival of an unspoilt cob and stone Cornish cottage with a part-thatched, part-slate roof. Inside you’ll find all the quirks of traditional country cottage as well as a few modern comforts. Low beamed ceilings, slate floors and wonky timber frames are met by modern furnishings. You’ll have your own enclosed garden too, which is a real sun-trap in the summer and views of other historic buildings nearby.
Just outside your doorstep, a network of footpaths will lead you around Loe Pool, the largest freshwater lake in Cornwall, and its densely wooded banks. The golden sands of Loe Bar are just a 25-minute walk from the cottage.
For the nearest town, the bustling town of Helston is just a 5-minute drive. Further afield, the fascinating island of St Michael’s Mount can be reached in 25 minutes. Take a short evocative boat trip to the island, or at low tide, enjoy the walk across the causeway. Discover its iconic medieval church and castle and its subtropical terraced garden.
Children should be accompanied by an adult when using the staircase. The garden is accessed via steep, uneven steps without handrails.
