This is a popular walk from Malham village to the magical waterfall at Janet's Foss.

Start point

National Park Centre car park, Malham, Skipton, North Yorkshire , BD23 4DA. Grid ref: SD899627

Step 1

From the car park, turn left and walk into the village. Cross the road. To the right of Malham Smithy there is a bridge, go over the bridge to cross the beck.

Step 2

Turn right and follow the beck away from the village, along a surfaced path.

Step 3

Turn left at the signpost to Janet’s Foss passing an old barn and follow this surfaced path through a series of gates for about 1 mile.

Step 4

Go through the gate and into the woodland. At this point the path becomes very uneven and rocky – please watch your step.

Step 5

From the waterfall, return the way you came.
