Enter this members-only competition for the chance to win an exclusive foraging and campfire cooking experience. Spend three nights staying in a cottage in the grounds of Chirk Castle in Wrexham and go foraging in the wild with an expert guide.

Explore the grounds of Chirk Castle in a new way by foraging in its natural environment. Learn how to identify edible plants in the hedgerows and fields, then set up a campfire to cook your findings in this historic setting. You'll also spend three nights at Chirk Home Farm Cottage with up to three of your family and friends. Enter before 23.59 on Sunday 27 October 2024 for your chance to win this members-exclusive prize package.

The prize

The lucky winner of this member-exclusive competition will win:

  • a three-night stay at Chirk Home Farm Cottage in Wrexham from Friday 22 to Monday 25 November 2024. The cottage is in the grounds of Chirk Castle and sleeps up to four people.
  • an exclusive autumn foraging and campfire cooking experience in the grounds of Chirk Castle with an expert from the Woodland Classroom on Saturday 23 November 2024.
  • a £500 voucher from our new brand partner Craghoppers, which could be used to purchase outdoor gear for your trip.
  • a copy of The First-Time Forager by Andy Hamilton, so you can keep foraging after your experience.
  • an autumn-themed bundle of products from the National Trust shop.

Email your answer to takepart@nationaltrust.org.uk on or before 23.59 on Sunday 27 October 2024, with 'National Trust Foraging Competition' as the subject line. Please include your full name, postcode, email address and membership number along with your answer.

To enter this competition, you must be a National Trust member and be available to attend the whole experience from Friday 22 to Monday 25 November 2024, including the foraging experience on Saturday 23 November.
