Be Kind to Your Mind under the sun

If you have thought about doing Yoga before, but felt intimidated, or worried that you are not 'bendy' enough, young enough or fit enough - or just don't have the confidence to attend a general Yoga class - then give this class a try and experience the sun like never before with Luke Jerram’s Helios.

Taught by a Yoga Therapist with more than 25 years experience of working with students with a wide range of health conditions, the aim of the course is to empower students to improve their mental and physical health, wellbeing, and self-care in a safe, friendly, and welcoming environment.

As an ancient, holistic practice, there is now growing scientific evidence to confirm the positive effects that Yoga can have on the mind as well as the body. We will explore a range of Yoga techniques, providing you with a 'toolkit' of simple, effective, proven practices that can be used in daily life as well as on the 'yoga mat' - to ease the body and quieten the mind.

This class takes place in the Ball Room at Bath Assembly Rooms, underneath Helios, the brand-new 7-metre diameter sculpture by Luke Jerram with rippling lights and solar imagery.
