Make a one leg stool

Learn how to make a one leg stool on this two day course with the Somerset Bodgers.

On day one, you will turn the leg (which began as an ash log) on the lathe. On day two, the seat is fashioned and the leg inserted into the seat. The finished product is useful for anyone needing to concentrate on learning a new skill because keeping your balance is said to help with concentration!

Price: £120 (includes admission to Tyntesfield, all materials, use of tools, and hot drinks)

What to bring and wear

Somerset Bodgers workshops take place outdoors, so please wear suitable clothing for the weather on the day.

When you have decided which course you want to do email somersetbodgers@icloud.com They will get back to you with bank details. You then make a payment and confirm. They will then send you a printable certificate. A reminder is sent out to participants about a week before the event with joining instructions. Timber for all courses is largely sourced from the Tyntesfield Estate and Leigh Woods.
