Fused Glass Workshop with Suzie Lavender - Waves and Jellyfish
Throughout the day Wolverhampton glass artist Suzie from Suzie Lavender Contemporary Glass will be teaching two sessions of fused glass making techniques. These workshops are suitable for beginners or as a refresher course.

Morning Session 10:30am-12:30pm: Ocean Wave Workshop – £45 A fun fused glass workshop for you to create a unique and beautiful 2D glass wave shape using glass pieces, glass frits, powders and bubble paints. During the workshop you will learn about glass fusing techniques and be introduced to the materials and tools. Each participant will be able to choose from a selection of glass accessories to create a their wave. The waves will be fired by Suzie and mounted in a frame following the workshop.
Afternoon Session 1:30pm-3:30pm: Fused Glass Jellyfish Making Workshop - £45 In this 2 hour workshop you will learn some basic glass fusing and layering techniques with clear and coloured glass, paints and bubble creating solution. Participants will be introduced a selection of materials and tools. Each participant will be decorating the components of the jellyfish with a colour scheme of their choice with full instructions and guidance from Suzie along the way. Your creations will be kiln fired and assembled following the class.
Book onto both sessions for the discounted price of £85. All creations will be kiln fired by Suzie following the sessions and then collection from Wightwick Manor (or postage of the work can be organised) from 14days later.
Booking essential, admission costs, all materials, safety equipment and tools are provided in the workshop fee. Please wear closed toe shoes, workshop room not wheelchair accessible.

- Meeting point
Please park in the main car park and make your way up the path to the Manor. The course will take place in the Meeting Room which is located above the Old Manor shop (not wheelchair accessible).
- What to bring and wear
Please wear closed toe shoes, no stiletto heels.
- Accessibility
Note that as Wightwick Manor is a historical venue, some floors may be unlevel. The Meeting Room is located on the second floor of the old Manor building, up a short flight of stairs (no wheelchair access). Visitor toilets are in a separate building next to the tearoom. Contact Suzie with any specific requests, access or assistance needs or requirements.

All creations will be kiln fired by Suzie following the sessions and then collection from Wightwick Manor (or postage of the work can be organised) from 14days later. Please note that access can be limited/difficult persons of disability due to the room’s location on the first floor. There is no lift and the room is not wheelchair accessible. Other venues where Suzie also holds workshops do have access however, please contact Suzie for more information.
