Apple Tree Grafting Workshop
Our resident orchardist and experienced tree grafter Darren will teach you how to make your own apple trees
- Booking essential
Grafting apple trees is an incredibly satisfying and useful skill to learn, one that has been practised for centuries in orchards and gardens around the world.
In this three-hour tutorial session you’ll learn the theory and principles of tree grafting and be shown four simple methods for grafting your own apple trees. You’ll also be able to graft three brand new apple trees to take away at the end of the session.
Please N.B. the practical part of the session will involve manual work with sharp implements. For this reason, the session is only open to responsible adults, age 18+, who are able to safely handle sharp tools.
Refreshments provided and the Weaving Shed Restaurant will be open serving hot and cold food.
Admission charges do not apply.
