Romantic Reading Habits
Ever wondered what Wilbraham and Elizabeth Egerton read for pleasure?
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
The library at Tatton Park contains many books of fiction that suggest that the Egertons were avid readers of novels of the Romantic period. In this pop up exhibition, Dr Rachel Adcock and Prof. Jonathon Shears from Keele University will be talking about the early editions of novels by Jane Austen, Matthew Lewis, Sir Walter Scott and others that were owned by the Egerton family. Please join us to find out more about some of the library's hidden treasures!
