Wet Felting Workshop: The Japanese Garden

Create a beautiful wet felted scene inspired the tranquil beauty of Tatton Park’s Japanese Garden.

  • Booking essential

Join us for a wet felting workshop, inspired by the tranquil beauty of Tatton Park’s Japanese Garden. In this hands-on session, you will create a stunning landscape image of the Japanese Garden using the art of wet felting, which captures the serene water features, delicate plants, and graceful designs that define this beautiful place.

Led by Vicky Pulman of Needlessly Felted, this workshop is open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced felters. Through step-by-step guidance, you will learn the process of wet felting to bring to life the calming atmosphere of the Japanese Garden. The focus will be on creating the flowing textures and layered colours that reflect the peaceful harmony of this iconic space.

What’s Included: All materials needed for the workshop, including premium felting wools in soft greens, oranges, and earthy tones, designed to replicate the lush garden landscape. Tools provided for wet felting, including felting mats, water, and soap. Expert tuition on techniques for shaping and layering fibres, as well as incorporating texture to create depth and movement. Entry to Tatton Park Gardens, with a special tour of the Japanese Garden to provide inspiration for your felting and a deeper understanding of its history and design.
