Forest School at Lorna Doone Valley

The Forest School and wild play area at Lorna Doone Valley is the perfect venue for wild art, bug hunts, woodland games, fire-making, den-building and all sorts of other wild adventures. Find out more about the memorable learning experience for school children on offer here.

What you will find at The Forest School 

  • A private forest school space hired out exclusively for the use of schools and community groups, including access to a wild play area and garden. 
  • Perfect setting for children to experience the wild within a safe and secluded space.  
  • The ideal base for nature education or as a starting point for moorlands discovery, navigation training and outdoor play. 
  • Two woodland fire circles with permanent pits and log seating, plus additional picnic benches. 
  • The wild play area includes a wood stack climbing frame, tunnels, dens and games. 
  • Explore open moorland and discover an abundance of wildlife

Booking your visit 

The Lorna Doone Valley forest school is open for booking and can be accessed from the National Trust Car Park (EX35 6NU).
