Trees in the Landscape
Meet our ecology team at Langdon Woods and join us for an informative walk to the base of Golden Cap where we celebrate the ancient trees in our landscape.
- Booking essential
- Free event (admission applies)
Starting at the Langdon Hill parking meter we will walk westwards along the footpath before cutting down to Filcombe Farm and then southwards to the foot of Golden Cap where there are a number of veteran trees with some interesting lichens, moss and fungi. People can self guide to the summit if they wish or we can return you to the car park through the western footpath through Langdon Hill Wood, making this a lovely 3km circular walk.
This walk may take around 2 hours due to the information we will be sharing with you on route.
