May’s Mythical Maps

Are you ready to begin your knightly training? This half-term, you’re invited to test your map-reading skills in preparation for an upcoming grand quest around the world.

  • Booking not needed
  • Admission applies

Following your success at the Dunstable Downs Spring Tournament, it’s time to train for the next challenge - facing mythical creatures on an exciting adventure! To be ready for the quest in October, this May half-term, you’ll need to sharpen your map reading skills and familiarise yourself with the creatures and tools you’ll encounter along the way.

How to take part:

• Visit the hub to pick up everything you need!

• Use your trail sheet map to locate 10 training stations across Dunstable Downs.

• Each station will reveal either a mythical creature or a matching tool that will aid in your future quest

• Record your findings in your creature catalogue to complete your training

• Once you’ve completed your catalogue, return to the Visitor Hub to claim your prize.

For an alternative option, we also have themed sensory bags and spotter sheets that help you enjoy the trail's magic in a more accessible way.

Drop-in 24 May – 1 June between 10.00am and 5.00pm. £3 per trail. No pre-booking necessary.

Don’t forget to return in October to put your knowledge to use on our grand quest! Look out for more details soon.
