Planning your family visit
Here's the information you need at a glance to make the most of your family day out at Sissinghurst Castle Garden:
- There is pushchair parking area at the back of Visitor Reception where visitors who wish to enter the garden can leave them
- Dogs on leads are welcome in the Old Dairy Cafe, around the site, and around the wider estate only, with the exception of assistance dogs
- Baby-changing facilities are available
- There's a beautiful seated picnic area next to the Vegetable Garden which overlooks the Weald
- The wider estate is accessible to pushchairs. Please take care around the uneven terrain

- Climb the tower
- Challenge yourself to make it to the top of the Elizabethan Tower! Learn about the 18th century prisoners of war who were kept here as you climb.
- Natural play area
- Venture down to the play area by the lakes and encounter den building and even a climbable carved dragon!
Things to see and do this Christmas
- The Yuletide Trail
- Explore festively decorated areas across the site, dress up as Lords and Ladies of the Manor, practice your royal greetings in the Tower, decorate a yule log, compete to be the 'Queen of the Bean', and put your children in charge for the day at our Childermas station. Runs daily between 23 November 2024 - 5 January 2025, excluding. 24 & 25 December. Free with standard admission.Find out more here
