Help remove Himalayan Balsam, an invasive species, from Elterwater.

You'll be working with our rangers pulling up the invasive species Himalayan balsam, to create space for native plants to thrive.
This will be a day at Elterwater where we will be pulling up Himalayan Balsam, snapping the stems and leaving them in piles. We will be working in boggy areas so you will need wellies.
We will have some pairs of work gloves available, please bring your own if you have some.

- What to bring and wear
Bring waterproof shoes, boots or wellies, waterproof jacket and sun protection if it's sunny. Work/gardening gloves, if you have some. Bring a pack lunch, snacks and drinks.

Uneven, boggy ground in a woodland area. We will walk from the car park to the woodland (approx. 20 minutes walk).

If you are an NT member, scan your card at the car park. We will have a day car parking pass for non members, ask a ranger on arrival.
