As part of Mental Health Awareness Week (May 12–18), join us at Morden Hall Park for a Wellness Weekend. On Saturday, take part in a walking meditation and creative writing session, designed to help you slow down, reflect, and enjoy nature.
This event is a collaboration between Way Wive Wordz, BAME Voice, and Morden Hall Park, bringing people together to connect, create, and unwind in a peaceful outdoor setting.
You'll start with a gentle guided walk, paying attention to your surroundings and how being in nature makes you feel. Then, you’ll put your thoughts into words in a relaxed creative writing session inspired by springtime at Morden Hall Park.
We thanks BAME Voice’s support in making this is an inclusive space where everyone is welcome, whether you’re new to writing or just want to try something different. Dr. Michelle Yaa Asantewa, an award-winning author and community activist, will be there to guide and encourage you - no writing experience needed!
Dr. Asantewa is the co-founder of Way Wive Wordz Publishing, Editing, and Tuition Services. Her books include the young adult novel Elijah, the poetry collection The Awakening, and the anthology In Search of Mami Wata.
