Volunteers play a vital role in our work on the Norfolk Broads – from welcoming visitors to Horsey Windpump to looking after the important wetland nature reserve at Heigham Holmes.
Volunteering is a rewarding experience, giving you the chance to spend time in amazing places and meet new people. All volunteers receive a thorough induction to their role, so that they feel confident in what they’re being asked to do.
We are looking for volunteers to join our friendly and enthusiastic team in the following roles:
Our Windpump Volunteers are an essential part of our team. By giving our visitors a warm welcome and bringing stories from Horsey to life, they help our visitors get the most out of their day.
The role would suit anyone who enjoys meeting new people and who has an interest in Horsey and the Broads – you don’t need to know all of the history, but as a Windpump Volunteer you’ll enjoy picking up and passing on lots of facts and figures. See the full role description.
Imagine a world without cakes! Our Food and Beverage volunteers understand the importance of a little sit-down, and help visitors to relax, refuel and refresh during their visit to Horsey Windpump.
This role would suit anyone who enjoys meeting people, is keen to be part of a dynamic team, and has some catering experience. See the full role description.
Volunteering as part of a team, Coast & Countryside volunteers help look after, improve and protect special outdoor places so that nature and wildlife can thrive and everyone can enjoy Horsey and Heigham Holmes.
