North East in Blossom 2025: Blossom bathing for families
Join us for a magical blossom bathing experience aimed at families.
- Booking essential
- Free event (admission applies)
Mindfully connect, create and explore together with Through the Trees.
Experience blossom bathing at Crook Hall Gardens in a session designed especially for families with children aged 8–13 to take a break in nature. Step away from the hustle of everyday life and immerse yourselves in the beauty of the natural world.
Blossom bathing is inspired by the Japanese concept of Shinrin-yoku (Forest Bathing). Through playful exploration, you will engage your senses, slow down, and uncover the hidden wonders of nature. Along the way, families will enjoy a hands-on craft activity using natural materials gathered on the walk—a chance to get creative and take home a special piece of the experience.
To end the journey, you can enjoy a peaceful tea gathering, where you will have the chance to try delicious foraged teas and homemade cake or snacks made with seasonal wild ingredients*.
Perfect for families seeking quality time, calm, and connection in a beautiful outdoor setting. No prior experience needed—just bring your curiosity and a sense of adventure!
