On Sunday 30 March from 10:00am, join us for a special Mother's Day Meet the Maker event!
Taking centre-stage are Dasalee Textile Art sisters, Stephanie Hazelton and Sheila Oldcroft from County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, both of whom collaborate and bring their individual skills to life in a unique way to produce stunning textile art.
Stephanie is qualified with a degree in Textile Art from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin and Shelia is a former graduate of Belfast Metropolitan College.
Taking their inspiration and passion from Irish wildlife, nature and places of historic interest, Stephanie and Sheila apply a combination of hand-painting, print-making and embroidery skills to produce a marvellous collection of textile artwork pieces, all of which are contemporary, but yet still retain an element of traditional charm. Their handcrafted works include a range of mounted pictures and bookmarks on locally sourced, 100% Irish linen.
FUN FACT - If you're wondering what Dasalee stands for, it's Danny, Sam and Lee - Stephanie and Shelia's sons' names!
