Join Matthew Read, Clock Conservator with the National Trust, and star of BBC’s Hidden Treasures programme, for a special guided tour of the wonderful clock collection at The Argory. Each generation of the MacGeough Bond family enjoyed travel and their appreciation of European decorative styles, fine craftsmanship and technical expertise can be seen in this delightful collection. This tour will describe the history, technology and materials used by nineteenth century horologists, and show the conservation methods used to preserve these fascinating timepieces.
