Three Pools walk, Comer Woods

Follow the orange waymarkers on this three-mile walk or run to take you deep into the heart of the woodland. Pathways slope through ancient trees, abundant conifer plantations and along the edges of Brim, Seggy and Wall pools.

Start point

Comer Woods car park

Step 1

Leave the car park and head right towards Heath Meadow.

Step 2

Once you reach Heath Meadow, keep the barns on your left, heading straight towards Heath Farm House. Then turn right up the steep track.

Step 3

Once you reach the top of the hill head straight on following the surfaced trail through the tall conifer trees.

Step 4

Continue straight ahead following the surfaced trail downhill.

Step 5

At the bottom of the hill turn left up a steep hill. Keep following this track.

Step 6

At the metal barrier, turn right on the hair pin bend to follow the surfaced trail. Continue on this track, passing the Wall, Seggy and Brim pools on your left.

Step 7

Pass a small bench on your left and then turn left and head uphill through the Douglas Fir trees.

Step 8

At the top of the hill turn left and follow the surfaced trail.

Step 9

Keep right to follow the pedestrian path.

Step 10

Turn left at the crossroads and follow the path downhill. At the bottom of the hill bear right towards the car park.
