Reindeer World Tour: A Christmas journey at Montacute House
The below is information on Christmas 2024. We hope you enjoyed all that we had on offer. Please check back here closer to Christmas 2025 when you will see updates of all the exciting plans we have in store for you.
Launched on 23 November 2024, Montacute House welcomed Father Christmas’s reindeer back to the garden. The popular outdoor trail asked visitors to explore, and find sacks of presents that had slipped off the sleigh. The reindeer were decorated to represent the different countries where the sacks could be found.
The ground floor of the house was traditionally decorated and there was a beautiful 15-foot Christmas tree in the Great Hall. Nine miniature sacks of presents were hiden in the house for everyone to spot in the indoor trail.
In the Courtyard Café, Christmas treats like crumble-top mince pies and mulled wine were available. A two or three course roast turkey lunch on Wednesdays and Sundays was also available until 23 December 2024. Booking was recommended.
Vegan options are also available.
The National Trust shop at Montacute House each year has a selection of homeware, food, drinks, books and toys great for a festive gift or a tasty treat for someone special.
