Reindeer World Tour: A Christmas journey at Montacute House
Launching on 23 November 2024, Montacute House welcomes Father Christmas’s reindeer back to the garden. They are celebrating visiting the whole world in one night. Except they need your help. Four sacks of presents have slipped off the sleigh, so Father Christmas has sent the reindeer out to find them. Can you discover where in the world the sacks have landed?
The ground floor of the house will be feeling festive with a beautiful 15-foot Christmas tree decorating the Great Hall. Nine miniature sacks of presents will also be hiding in the house for everyone to spot.
In the Courtyard Café you can enjoy Christmas treats like crumble-top mince pies and mulled wine, as well as a two or three course roast turkey lunch on Wednesdays and Sundays until 23 December. Booking is recommended. Please call 01935 826923.
Roast turkey baps with stuffing and gravy are on the menu throughout the rest of the week too. You can also enjoy warm spiced apple cake with toffee sauce and cream, and pigs-in-blankets hot dogs. Vegan options are also available.
The National Trust shop at Montacute House each year has a selection of homeware, food, drinks, books and toys great for a festive gift or a tasty treat for someone special.
In the run up to Christmas in the Book Barn, there will be a selection of wrapped ‘mystery’ books for a suggested donation of £3 to £5.
