This workshop will be led by artist Katie Shipton, who will offer insights and personalized approaches to drawing and rendering. Set in the ethereal Stumpery at Ickworth Estate, this workshop will allow you to develop your own artistic flourishes and styles, working both representationally and in abstraction. We will use a variety of materials, working in an experimental and exploratory manner, reflecting the otherworldly nature of our surroundings.
The workshop will run for 2 hours and includes a bake and tea or coffee at the end. This workshop is for artists of all levels, ages 18 and up.
Please bring portable outdoor chairs or stools. All drawing materials are provided. Please dress appropriately for art production and the weather conditions.

- Meeting point
Please meet in the Italianate Garden where the café terraced seating is. The workshop leader will meet you there.
- What to bring and wear
Please wear weather appropriate clothing as this workshop will take place outside. The session will last around 2 hours, because of this please bring any food and drink you might need.
- Accessibility
The Italianate Garden is accessible for wheelchair users along hard standing pathways from the main carpark. The garden is about a five-minute walk from the Welcome Point and main carpark. The Stumpery area has woodchip on the pathways which some manual wheelchairs may struggle to cross. There are some seats in the Stumpery, but we ask that attendees bring their own foldable / portable seating.
