Overnight Astrophotography Experience
Awed by the night sky? Wish you could capture its magnificence? Join astronomer Chris Greenfield on Orford Ness overnight and learn how to take amazing photos of the stars.

Join Chris to learn about the two most common techniques to produce wide angle views of the night skies, from shooting multiple exposures to using a star tracker.
Please note that this is an overnight event, arriving on Saturday and departing on Sunday. The event will involve a walk out to the shingle on at twilight, returning to our accommodation in Basecamp between 2am and 3am.
Tuition and advice will be given throughout the evening on how best to capture the night sky.

The basics

Not suitable for children.
- Meeting point
Arrive on Orford Quay between 4.30 and 4.45pm for a ferry crossing at 5pm. Return is 9:30am on the Sunday . Park in the Riverside pay and display car park (not NT).
- What to bring and wear
Bring food and bedding for your stay - a fully equipped shared kitchen is available. Accommodation is in shared bunk house rooms. Dress for sudden weather changes. Only bring equipment you can carry.

All attendees will be required to confirm no commercial use will be made of any images taken. No drone photography allowed.
