This is an opportunity to directly shadow one of our Ranger team for the day, to understand more about our winter work programme, learn more about our visiting winter wildlife and be involved in the weekly count of our Grey Seal colony. Please wear appropriate warm & waterproof outdoor clothing, footwear and be prepared to be walking out on site regardless of weather - it's all part of the job!

Ranger Experience Day

While Orford Ness is closed to visitors for our winter season we are offering well being walks, weather permitting, on Orford Ness. If the weather doesn't allow us to cross to Orford Ness the walks will take place along the river banks and around Orford village.

Walks take place monthly, with no walking experience required, come and walk with us, breathe in the fresh air and keep your eyes peeled for some of our wonderful birdlife.

Please note this is not a history tour, there will be no access to any of the buildings and no access across the Bailey bridge.
