Sign up for your opportunity to be part of the volunteer finds processing team in this summer's excavation at Sutton Hoo with Time Team. Please return to the 'Things to see and do' page for the Excavation volunteer role.
The project will be investigating some of the areas of interest discovered during recent geophysical surveys of Garden Field by Time Team and building on excavation work carried out in 2024. Activities will include cleaning and cataloguing finds. No previous finds processing experience is required but always welcome.
To allow as many people as possible to participate in this project, please book for one session. There is no charge to sign up to participate.
The finds processing day will be 10am - 5pm with a lunchbreak at approximately 1pm and with morning and afternoon tea breaks. Please meet on site ready for 9.45am.
A volunteer briefing pack with further information will be supplied to each participant at least two weeks before the excavation.
