Community Volunteering Event: Hay raking and Bramble digging
Join us to help keep Willow Green looking its best this Spring.
- Booking essential
The grassland in Willow Green will be mown with the help of Shire horses this March. The green hay must be removed and stacked in large piles to prevent the decaying herbage from increasing soil fertility, as wildflowers thrive best in nutrient-poor soil. We will need YOUR help to collect and rake up the grass! To maintain the grassland, we will also need to dig out some brambles to stop them from spreading too vigorously again. Bring a rake and suitable gloves if you have them and join this unique community volunteering event.
