Woodland Cyanotype workshop with Lisa Pettibone

Lisa Pettibone will guide you in creating your own cyanotype artworks using natural materials that you will have gathered during the session. - something really different and magical to produce

Cyanotype printing is an early photographic process (John Herschel 1842) producing white imagery on a deep Prussian blue background, magically developed before your eyes in daylight. Local artist Lisa Pettibone will guide you through the process to create a series of beautiful blue photo prints to frame, make into cards or bookmarks. No previous experience required. All equipment will be provided as will tea & biscuits.

Based in Surrey, Lisa Pettibone is a visual artist working in sculpture (glass and mixed media), installation and print. Expressing concepts related to natural forces and the evolution of form, her practice investigates the nature of human perception through the lens of science. She is a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors.

Please park at the Rhododendron Woods car park for a short walk to the House. Normal car park charges apply. NT members park for free. Free entry to house for event.

Please note that there must be a minimum of 8 people for this event to go ahead. No refund of the ticket price will be given in any other circumstances.

Please dress for the weather as you will be gathering materials from the estate for your artwork. A change of footwear is recommended for inside.

Ground floor event. Ramp into the building. No accessible toilets, but large cubicles. Limited disabled parking at the front of the house.
