Celebrating the work of one of our most illustrious tenants Sir Robert Witt, who whilst studying at Oxford in 1890 established the Witt Library - a collection of photographs, reproductions and cuttings of paintings, drawings and engravings. The Witt Library now has over 2.2 million items and is one of the largest of its kind in the world.
To enter simply take a photograph of either; Category 1 - The spirit of the Clergy House - a picture capturing the beauty of the house - can be internal or external pictures. Category 2 - Land and Nature - to focus on scenic views of the Clergy House its garden, or its land. Please ensure images do not include people. Submit your photograph stating which category you wish the photo to be entered into via email to alfriston@nationaltrust.org.uk - sorry no postal entries accepted. The competition opens on 18th April and closes midnight 27th September 2025 and is open to anyone living in the UK (amateur photographers only). If you are under 18, you'll need permission from a legal parent, guardian or carer to apply. Small prize for each of the category winners.
