From valleys to views an enchanting walk taking in some of the best views of the area.

Join our knowledgeable local guides for a walk taking you on an enchanting route climbing up the valley to the top of the Downs taking in views over the Rathfinny estate and on to High and Over affording far reaching views across the Cuckmere Valley. The walk heads back down to the Cuckmere River for a gentle stroll, enjoying the beauty of the valley back to Alfriston. (5.7 miles)

Walking footwear is recommended as this walk is over rough ground.

Accessibility

The walk has one reasonably long steady ascent and descent. The walk will be supported by two guides.

The duration of the walk is between 2 and a half hours to 3 hours. Ticket does no include entry to the house and gardens, if you would like to visit the property a private tour on the day can be arranged - normal admission applies.
