Hare hapa zome craft sessions at Chirk Castle
Join us this April to create a beautiful hare-shaped print using flowers and leaves in a hands-on hapa zome experience.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Join our rangers on 8 and 23 April for a fun, hands-on session where you can discover the art of hapa zome. This traditional Japanese technique uses plant pounding to create beautiful natural prints, allowing you to design your very own hare on cloth using flowers and leaves. During the session, you'll get to hammer natural materials onto fabric in the shape of a hare, creating a colourful, eco-friendly masterpiece to take home.
Reserve your spot at the ticket office before making your way to the Mindful Meadow for the sessions, held at 11am and 2am, each lasting approximately 30 minutes.
Standard admission charges apply for entry. National Trust members and children under 5 can enter for free. Please visit the ticket office upon arrival to scan your membership or purchase a ticket.
