A new playful space where imaginations can run wild. This new space is open daily with special events as part of our Outstanding August series.

Our new Oak Yard play space; rich with history, a place of delight and discovery for the whole family.
Splash about in water play, hide in the maze of sheets, build dens, tunnels or whatever you can imagine from traditional hurdles, take to the stage or relax in our vibrant second-hand bookshop for children and young people.
Seated proudly in the centre will be our baby oak tree, symbolising a new future for this traditional space.
Our special guests, Pitchfork & Provision will be meet your food & drink needs from 3 – 31 August, a local café specialising in locally sourced food, made with the best ingredients.

- What to bring and wear
It could be sun cream or raincoats, no one really knows! Embrace the weather, dress up warm, put your rain suits on, or wear you sun hat - get excited to get stuck in.
- Accessibility
The house covers three floors, two of which are only accessible by using the stairs. The ground floor and cafe are all on one level. The courtyard in largely on one level, apart from the additional secondhand bookshop which is accessed by two stone steps. The estate is largely gravel undulating paths. There is a designated accessible raised Boardwalk.
