Enjoy lazy days at the many beaches nearby, explore public footpaths taking you up high onto the West Cornwall moorland and along the South West Coast Path. Art lovers will adore bustling St Ives, just seven miles from the cottage, with its exhibitions and galleries. History buffs can check out the old tin mines that dot the landscape – starting with St Just, originally the centre of the tin mining industry.
If you're looking for some traditional villages to explore, Pendeen to the west and Zennor to the east are four miles away. Here you'll find village pubs, convenience stores, and seasonal cafés.
Further afield, visit Land’s End, the most westerly (and often most windy) point of the UK mainland. Or scale St Michael’s Mount near Penzance, a rocky island crowned by a medieval church and castle. If surfing is more your style, Porthmeor Beach is for you. For a completely different type of drama, head to the world-famous Minack Theatre for an open-air show you’re sure to remember. Or take in Godolphin's Grade II listed walls that are cared for by the National Trust, witness conservation in action and step back in time as you venture through the historic house and gardens.
