Blacksmith’s Cottage is one of the few remaining thatched dwellings on the Blickling Estate. This light and airy, spacious holiday cottage was once the home of an estate worker and retains a very traditional feel inside and out.
Make the most of your location nearby Blickling Hall and discover this fascinating property and surrounding parkland. Stop for a coffee at the estate's Muddy Boots' café before heading to the local pub for lunch.
Discover the sandy beaches and cliff top paths of the Norfolk coast, just a 20 minute drive from the cottage. A little further afield, the stunning, Blakeney National Nature Reserve, with its sand and salt marshes, is a 20 mile drive.
Exposed beams throughout, sitting room, kitchen/diner and a shower room.
Two bedrooms (2 doubles, 1 with a 5' bed and 1 with a 6' bed which can be a twin on request).

Heating: Provided by an air source heat pump system in conjunction with radiators. This system has been installed as part of our renewable energy programme. More information will be in your booking confirmation and the Welcome Folder on arrival.
Parking: There is parking for two cars in the garden.
Garden: There is a lawned garden which is enclosed.
*WiFi: This is now available, but please note that intermittent connection problems can sometimes occur and should not be relied upon. We are pleased to provide free WiFi at this cottage which is supported by BT.
Please note: The staircase in the cottage is quite steep and winding.
In July/August there may be open air concerts held on Blickling park beside the lake, this is likely to result in heavy traffic passing between 4.00 pm to 11pm (Concert dates will be promoted on the Blickling Hall website).
August Bank Holiday Monday Aylsham agricultural show is also held on the park and the local area will be busy all day/evening and possibly over the weekend before for preparation.
Storage: Cycle storage provided.
