Glamorgan Hedgehog Rescue at Dyffryn Gardens
Come and say hello to the team from Glamorgan Hedgehog Rescue. Discover the signs of hedgehog visits in your own garden and how you can make your garden more hospitable to hedgehogs.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Dyffryn is proud to be a home for hedgehogs and is also a release site for rescued hedgehogs. We're teaming up with Glamorgan Hedgehog Rescue to advocate for the plight of the humble hedgehog as numbers continue to decline.
This will be an opportunity for Dyffryn Gardens visitors to discover why hedgehogs are in trouble and practical ways to help them. Offering advice on environments hedgehogs thrive in and how to encourage your community to support hedgehogs. They also advise on what to do if you find an injured or poorly hedgehog. Discover the signs of hedgehog visits in your own garden and how you can make your garden more hospitable to hedgehogs.
The team will also share their work in caring for hedgehogs who have been rescued and how they release them back into the wild. They'll have information leaflets, demonstration props for hedgehog hotels and feeding stations, footage of thriving Dyffryn hedgehogs and all the help and information you need to make your garden a haven for hedgehogs.
