Whether you enjoy the best in Welsh and British produce, or have a passion for homemade cakes, there’s something for all tastes at Plas Newydd. With a variety of items to browse in the shop and a second-hand bookshop, it’s just the place for to pick up an exciting book or a gift to take home.

The Old Dairy Café

Located next to the Visitor Centre, the Old Dairy Café is a perfect place to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Once serving as a dairy for the estate, today you can enjoy a variety of hot and cold dishes from our seasonal menu.

We buy local and Fairtrade products wherever possible, and all our cakes and treats are baked daily by our own baker. With savoury snacks, tasty cakes, cream teas and local ice cream, there's something for everyone, and always something new to try.

Dog-friendly café

The Old Dairy Café is also dog-friendly, so there’s no need to sit outside in the cold or rain with your four-legged family member.  We do just ask you that you keep all furry friends on a short lead and under control. Dog bowls are available just outside in the courtyard area for a quick pit-stop.

Allergen information

Most of the food and drink served is prepared on site in our kitchen, using a wide range of ingredients. As a result, we can’t guarantee that any of our food and drink products are completely allergen free.

If you have an allergy or intolerance and would like ingredient information about the food and drink served, please ask the staff, who will be happy to help.

Always check when you visit

Visited before? We sometimes change our recipes to improve quality and flavour, including the ingredients. When you visit, please speak to one of our team to check the current allergen information for your favourite dish.
