Conservation in action: the Victorian laundry
Meet the team as they carry out their conservation work on the laundry collection.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Every year to care for the fragile in the collection the conservation team meticulously wash, dry and press the items. Other objects like wood and metal have their own special needs and the team will be checking and completing work each month. Meet them and have a chat about what they're doing. Some tasks and displays are weather dependent and the laundry evolves over the season to prevent damage to the most fragile pieces.
