More information

Heating: The house is heated with oil central heating. There is an open fire in the drawing room. There is a wood burning stove in the snug and formal dining room. These will all be laid for you when you arrive. Please note there are no additional logs available to buy on site so you will need to come equipped with your own logs. Logs can be purchased at local stores in Scots Gap (3 miles) or at Rothbury (8 miles).

Parking: There is parking for 6 cars.

Wifi: We are pleased to provide free WiFi at this cottage which is supported by BT. Please note that intermittent connection problems can sometimes occur so it should not be relied upon.

Garden: There is a large, mostly laid with lawn, enclosed garden, with seating for 14 people. The garden leads down to the lakefront which has natural vegetation and reeds, a breeding ground for wildlife. Due to the nature of the lake we ask guests not to enter the water.

Lake: The lakeside has no fencing, so children and dogs need to be supervised at all times

Induction Hob: Please note there is an induction hob at this cottage. Guests with pacemakers are advised to check with their doctor to ensure there will be no interference with their pacemaker. Guests with pacemakers are also advised to keep a distance of at least 60cm (2ft) from the hob when cooking.

Offers: Guests will benefit from a late Sunday checkout of 4pm.

Open days: Everyone is welcome to visit one of our free public open days to explore the house and see a little more of what we do.
