The Boot Room is our newest hideaway. Once used as part of an outbuilding by the estate gamekeepers, it has been converted into a compact holiday cottage, perfect for 2.
This pair of cottages has an eclectic history, starting life as an 18th-century hay barn and later evolving into a 1930's shop. The cottages sit on the leafy banks of the River Skell, close to Fountains Abbey. Abbey Cottage sleeps 6 but an additional 2 guests can be accommodated next door.
Guests staying at either cottage have free, after-hours access to the medieval ruins and water gardens of Fountains Abbey. Explore the grounds of the site at your leisure, even when all the other visitors have gone home. Further afield, the city of York makes for a great day out.
Discover the delights of Yorkshire including abbey ruins, magnificent houses and gardens, wild moorland and some fantastic stretches of coastline.
Enjoy picturesque villages, drystone walls, flower filled hay meadows and the characteristic rolling hills of the Dales.
