After a year of closure for essential conservation work, we are delighted to welcome you back through the doors of Leith Hill Place. Childhood home of one of England’s greatest composers, Ralph Vaughan Williams and often visited by Charles Darwin, Leith Hill Place is place of inspiration, discovery and creativity. The house is open every weekend, 11am-5pm and every Friday throughout the summer holidays.
In collaboration with Surrey Hills Arts, we’re delighted to welcome our first dual artist in residence at Leith Hill Place, Rosie May Jones. Rosie will explore how we shape our identities through our relationship to the land through poetry, performative research and participatory workshops. Everyone is welcome to get involved through free poetry workshops, collaborative art projects or just come along and chat to Rosie during her open studios.
